Why Instagram removes your gaps
When you type a caption with an empty line between paragraphs, Instagram can collapse that empty line, especially if a line ends with a space or the caption is pasted from another app. The result is one long block of text that is harder to read.
How the spacer fixes it
The tool trims trailing spaces and puts a blank Braille pattern character (U+2800) on each empty line. Instagram treats it as content, so the line stays, but it shows as empty space. Nothing else in your text changes.
Tips for readable captions
- Put the most important line first; only the opening shows before “more”.
- Keep paragraphs to one or two sentences.
- Use a few relevant hashtags at the end, not mixed through the text.
- In your bio, use line breaks for who you are, what you offer, and where to book.
More for your profile
A tidy bio and readable captions make any profile more convincing, bought followers or not. For the bigger picture, read growing without buying.

Does it work on TikTok?
